We are picked up from Scheba Hotel as early as 6 a.m. and a 3 hours’ drive takes us to Huye mountain coffee away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The coffee tour starts at 9am, on arrival we will be guided by professional tour guide who will take us through the process used to plant, grow and process the coffee beans. At the end of the tour, we will have the opportunity to purchase fresh roasted coffee as well as hand-crafts made by local artisans.

We drive to Huye for lunch at Ibis restaurant and then we proceed to Ethnographic museum – a gift from Belgium’s King Badouin in the late 1980s, it now houses one of Africa’s finest ethnographic collections with seven galleries display historical, ethnographic, artistic and archaeological artefacts accompanied by visual aids, giving visitors a rich insight into the Rwandan culture.

After the visit, we drive back to Kigali, on the way we visit King’s Palace museum, a replica of the ancient king’s house and learn more about Rwandan Kingdom life. The visit to offers a window into Rwanda's pre-colonial past. The museum is today an impressive museum surrounded by the long horned cows that were traditionally associated by the Rwandan monarchy.
