Naivasha, Hells Gate Geothermal Spa Day Trip

Tour Highlights

Lake Naivasha located approximately 2 hours from Nairobi is the second largest freshwater lake in Kenya. Hell's Gate National Park is a tiny park located between Lake Naivasha and Longonot and Suswa volcanoes and it is an ideal venue for a weekend getaway far from the urban life of Nairobi.

Itinerary Details

We depart from Nairobi and drive along the floors of Rift Valley to Naivasha. Along the way you will make a special stop at a viewpoint to enjoy views of the Great Rift Valley Escarpment. Once in Lake Naivasha we proceed to do a boat ride where we get to see herds of hippos and a wide variety of birds on the lake. One can also take a boat to Crescent Island where you can walk around the island and view at close range zebras, giraffes and antelopes.

We leave for Hells Gate where we spot animals like bushbucks, dikdiks, gazelles, gnus, hartebeests, impalas, klipspringers, buffalo, zebras, baboons, and monkeys among others. We wind up the trip at Geothermal Spa managed by KenGen. The pool at Geothermal is Africa's largest naturally-heated Spa Pool.
