Itinerary Details
Day 1: Arusha - Manyara
After breakfast, we drive with packed lunch to Lake Manyara. This National Park is on the shores of a beautiful lake, tucked below the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Referred to also as ‘Old Hunter’s Paradise’ it is home to the legendary tree climbing lions. On the Lakeshore we find herds of hippos, thousands of flamingos and other water birds. After a lunch break at the hot springs we continue with the game drive before we proceed to Octagon lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti
Today we drive to Serengeti with packed lunch. Serengeti is the Maasai name for ‘endless plains’. This wildlife premier destination is renowned for its large lion population among other mammals and 500 bird species. We will do game drives as we proceed to Serengeti Angani camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 3: Serengeti Game Drives
Today we spend the entire day on a game drive with packed lunch. Explore the Park on which Grzimek based his famous documentary on “The Serengeti Shall Not Die”. Our dreams of watching lions hunt wildebeests and gazelles may also become a reality. Later, drive to Ngorongoro for dinner and the overnight stay at Rhino Lodge.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, we enjoy a scenic drive to the world's largest volcanic caldera. Immerse yourself in this harmonious environment, home to more than 25,000 large mammals. See the lush grasslands of the crater floor that are fed by the rains and the neighbouring woodlands that provide shelter for the area's wildlife. We learn from our guide about how this bountiful habitat contributes to the richly diverse population. Spot one of the local residents, like a lion, elephant, baboon or leopard. Catch a glimpse of the rare black rhino that finds refuge here. Stop for a picnic lunch surrounded by the natural beauty of this UNESCO World Heritage Site and then drive back to Arusha.
