Overview

We begin our journey with a morning flight at 10:30 h from Entebbe, soaring over the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda to land at the Kihihi Airstrip. From there, we’ll enjoy a scenic transfer through local villages and mountain roads to reach Buhoma, the gateway to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest. After a welcoming lunch at Buhoma Haven Lodge, we’ll head out for a meaningful Batwa cultural visit, where we’ll meet the “first people of the forest” to learn about their ancestral hunting techniques, traditional medicine, and vibrant music. We’ll spend the evening at our lodge, enjoying a full-board stay with stunning views of the Bwindi Impenetrable Forest canopy.

On Day 2, our adventure reaches its peak with a gorilla tracking excursion, navigating the dense, misty jungle alongside expert trackers for a transformative hour with a habituated mountain gorilla family. After trekking back for a celebratory lunch, we’ll transfer back to Kihihi for our 15:30 h flight, carrying the memories of this once-in-a-lifetime encounter as we return to Entebbe.
