The well-established ‘Classic North” safari of Tanzania offers some of the world’s most diverse safari experiences, consisting of National Parks, game reserves, conservation areas and private concessions. Among these are the world-famous and iconic Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater, and of course their less well-known neighbors and Lake Manyara National Park.
Upon arrival or after our Mt Kilimanjaro climbing expedition our driver guide will pick us up and drive us to the hotel for dinner and our overnight stay and for a pre-safari briefing.

Other wildlife here includes serval cat, cheetah, jackal, Grant's and Thompson's gazelle, flamingo and bat-eared foxes. At a scenic lake we stop for lunch and carefully open our lunch boxes as we protect them from the black kites. Today we leave the Central Serengeti before heading north to the mighty Mara River where the herds congregate in late August. Watch as large numbers of wildebeest and zebras gather on the banks before making the precarious crossing in the hope of eluding the resident crocodiles.
As we head north, good sightings of giraffe, plain game, herds of buffalo and elephants can often be seen. Whilst the Serengeti boasts abundant wildlife, it is perhaps best known for the annual Great Migration. Our knowledgeable guide will take us to where the wildlife action is while pointing out species we might otherwise overlook.
