The Property

Set on a steep hill, leading down to the shore of Rwanda’s Lake Kivu, the rustic yet stylish Cormoran Lodge in Kibuye has a small number of wooden cabins displaying breath-taking views of Lake Kivu and offering a more personal and intimate experience on the shores of the lake. The Lodge has five cabins and a restaurant built entirely of wood. You will enjoy a breath-taking view of the lake and the surrounding islands from any of our 7 rooms.  From the VIP cabin you can see the fiery crater of the Nyiragongo volcano in Congo.

Sloped pathways lead to the accommodation – just 16 guests can stay at a time, in twin or double rooms, or in the VIP cabin which is perfect for honeymooners. The rooms are simply decorated, with wood predominating, and have large netted beds, a TV, an en-suite bathroom with a bath or shower and flushing toilet, and magnificent views.
