Experience the ultimate safari in the iconic Maasai Mara, home to Africa’s Big Five and breathtaking savannah landscapes. Enjoy thrilling game drives, witnessing lions, elephants, and cheetahs in their natural habitat as you indulge in delicious bush meals and unwinding in a luxury lodge or tented camp.
This tour starts with pick up from Nairobi at 07.00hrs. We drive off the metropolis westwards passing small agricultural holdings as you pick altitude to the top of the escarpment. We will stop for a photo session at a scenic point before descending to the floor of the rift valley.
The drive will take us past Narok town, a colourful market centre in the middle of the Maasai land. Arrival in the Mara will be in time for lunch. After a short rest we embark on our first evening game drive in the vast game reserve, classified as one of the “Wonders of the World”. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Mara Serena Lodge.

After breakfast the search for great predators and perhaps even cubs continue today during extensive game runs. On the plains are enormous herds of grazing animals plus the elusive cheetah and leopard hiding amidst acacia boughs. The Mara is an extension of the Serengeti in Tanzania and all the “Big Five” are found here. With some luck we may already see some of them today. All meals and overnight will be at Mara Serena Lodge again.

Our adventure begins early in the morning with a sunrise game drive, offering the best opportunity to witness wildlife at its most active. Departing from the lodge at 6:00 AM, we explore the vast plains in search of the Big Cats, including lions, leopards, and cheetahs, as they take advantage of the cool morning to hunt. Along the way, we will encounter large herds of elephants, giraffes, and zebras grazing peacefully in the golden savannah. A visit to the iconic Mara River provides a chance to see hippos and crocodiles in their natural habitat, as well as one of the key crossing points during the Great Migration season between July and October. In the afternoon, as temperatures begin to cool, we will have another opportunity to witness predators becoming active again. As the sun begins to set, the breathtaking scenery provides a perfect backdrop for capturing stunning photographs of the Maasai Mara’s landscape and wildlife. We return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
