From chimpanzee tracking in Kibale forest to gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, this tour combines the best attractions in Uganda. Wildlife experience is made complete with a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park for a chance to spot the big five and a variety of wildlife. Another highlight is tracking rhinos in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.
We arrive in Entebbe and are welcomed by our driver/guide who transfers us to the Cassia Lodge. After checking in the we are briefed about safari and have a chance to ask and seek clarification about issues which may come up. Depending on the time we arrive we have options to take a dive in the swimming pool.

Today we drive to the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola District. We arrive there in time for lunch. The sanctuary is home to 22 southern white rhinos. The Rhino re-introduction project is a project of Rhino Fund Uganda and Uganda Wildlife Authority. Ziwa is the only place where rhinos can be seen in the wild and the only place in Africa where they can be approached on foot. After lunch we embark on the 2-3 hours Rhino Tracking and thereafter we can relax in the serene environment of the lodge. Dinner & Overnight will be at the Amuka Lodge.

After an early breakfast we check out and head on to Murchison Falls National park. Arrive in time for lunch at River Lodgethen, then afternoon highlight of the day is a Boat Cruise on the Nile to the bottom of the fall. This offers close views of the Nile Crocodiles, Hippos and so many birds. Great views of other wildlife over land can be rewarding as well. We get off the boat at the bottom of the falls and hike up to the top which is another chance to view the top of the falls. We meet with our driver and head to the lodge.

After breakfast we head on for a game drive on the Northern bank of the Nile, with chances of seeing lots of wildlife in search for food. We have a chance to spot giraffes, elephants, lions, hartebeest and different species of birds. We return to the lodge to relax and enjoy the lodge facilities till lunch. The afternoon is also open to game drives that increase our chances of spotting more wildlife cooling off under the shades and birding as well.

Today we leave after breakfast for Kibale National Park via Hoima. Stop over for lunch at Miika Eco Resort, then continue to Fort Portal, and check in late afternoon at Kibale Forest Camp for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, we enter Kibale National park in time for our morning primate walk with the Chimpanzee Trekking as highlight. This park boasts of over 32 primate species and it is known worldwide for rewarding primatologists. We return for lunch and in the afternoon transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park to Buffalo Safari Lodge for dinner and overnight.

We have an early breakfast then begin our day by heading for the mating ground of the Uganda Kobs where we may be lucky to spot some lions and leopards hunting. We will also look out for elephants and other wild animals in their natural habitat. Return for lunch and in the afternoon we take on a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which gives you the opportunity to enjoy some more of the African wildlife. The Kazinga Channel is the place where we find the highest concentration of Hippos in East Africa. After this experience which takes about 1.5 hours, we take a drive to the scenic crater lake where salt is harvested and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast we leave the central Mweya Section of the park and drive to the Ishasha Sector in the south. The landscape changes to mainly made up of riverine forests and savannah grasslands and is significantly different from the Mweya side of Queen Elizabeth National Park. This park is habitat to many wildlife species, most pronounced the tree climbing lions.
We’ll have lunch at the Lodge and afternoon game drives to increase our chances of spotting wildlife. We are likely to encounter buffalo herds, antelopes, and elephants. Just before sunset we return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. As the sun sets, we enjoy our sundowner at the verandah of the lodge.

Today we plan an extensive game drive in the morning, lunch and transfer to Bwindi in afternoon. On our game drives in the morning we might come across lions hunting the favourite dish – the Ugandan cob while in the afternoon they may be resting on the spreading branches of the huge acacia trees. Afternoon, we drive further down south to the hilly area of the Bwindi Forest bordering the Virunga mountains in the Democratic Republic of Congo. We arrive at The Haven Lodge for lunch and marvel in the afternoon from the verandah of our rooms at magnificent rainforest scenery. At the far south we can see the peaks of the Virunga volcanoes.

Today after breakfast we proceed to the visitor’s reception for a briefing at 8.00am about the day’s activity, the tracking of the Mountain Gorilla. We are divided in groups of up to 8 people. 2 - 3 gamekeepers then accompany us through the dense jungle in search of the elusive but friendly mountain gorillas. After 2 to 4 hours we find the family. The silverback with its family of up to 12 members is about 3m away from us. We spend about an hour with the gentle giants and feel fully compensated for our efforts. We return to the lodge for late lunch and relax for the rest of the afternoon.

After a relaxed breakfast, we check out and head for Lake Mburo National Park. One of the smallest in Uganda with unique wildlife, less visited yet rewarding. We arrive in time for lunch and then embark on an afternoon boat ride on the Lake. This opens up chances of spotting more game cooling off on the lake shores and as we enjoy a beautiful sunset.

We wake up early for a morning nature walk with the park rangers. We may spot herds of Zebras and Kobs grazing. We return to the lodge for our breakfast before checking out. We drive back to Kampala with an optional lunch on the way. Our driver will transfer us to Entebbe airport in time for an evening departure.
