This tour offers unique opportunities to explore Rwanda and Uganda. A visit to the Genocide Museum in Rwanda is both informative and inspiring. Game drives in Akagera National Park offers beautiful landscapes and wildlife like the Big Five and over 400 bird species. Another highlight of this tour is the gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.

After breakfast we embark on a tour of Kigali which is ranked as the cleanest city in Africa. During this tour we will visit historical places like the Richard Kandt museum which was the first modern house in Kigali, the Genocide memorial to have a better understanding the tragedy that happened in 1994. The tour through the old and new Kigali takes us to cultural and artistic places like the Inema Arts Centre and pass through Nyamirambo, the most vibrant area in Kigali. We have an optional lunch at Milles Collines and later drive to Ruhengeri for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast with packed lunch, we drive to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for briefing which starts at 7 a.m to start the hike to Bisoke. Mt. Bisoke is an extinct volcano in the Virunga mountain range in East Africa with its beautiful crater lake at the summit. The hike leads through rain forest inhabited by the endangered mountain gorillas that were the subject of the movie "Gorillas in the Mist" about Dian Fossey. We visit her grave yard and get to learn the impact of her research. We will be able to see the ruins of her house and just lying next to her is the grave of her favourite gorilla, Digit, along with a number of other gorillas killed by poachers. After the beautiful hike we visit the Ellen DeGeneres Gorilla Campus which was built in memory of renowned Conservationist Dian Fossey. Here we get to learn about the endangered species and the conservation efforts being taken.

After breakfast we drive to Buhoma through Cyanika border of Rwanda to Uganda passing by the magnificent Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. This is the Southern Western Uganda characterized by rolling green hills, terraced farmlands and captivating views. Along the way we will see the long horned cattle (Ankole). We have lunch at Kisoro and proceed to The Haven for an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast at 6.00 am, we proceed with packed lunch boxes to the Bwindi National Park headquarters for a detailed briefing. We are divided into groups of eight and each group is allocated rangers who take us through the forest in search for a Gorilla family allocated to us. The trek may take anything between 2 to 4 hours until we spot the gorillas feasting on bamboo sprouts. We have 1 hour to observe them in their habitat and take pictures. After the trek we drive to the southern section of Queen Elizabeth National Park called Ishasha for dinner and overnight stay.

Today we have a whole day of game viewing and we get to see Uganda Kobs, large herds of elephants and the famous tree climbing Lions. After lunch we spend the evening with another game viewing and we can opt to drive to the River Ishasha to see the border of Uganda and the Democratic Republic of Congo then later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Today after an early breakfast, we drive northwards within the park to the Kazinga Channel, a natural 32 km long channel that links Lake Edward and Lake George inside Queen Elizabeth National park. This area is an oasis for many of the fascinating species that inhabit the park, and taking a boat tour along it gives us the chance to cruise just meters from hundreds of Hippos, Crocodiles and Buffaloes while Elephants linger on the shoreline. With a lunch break at Mweya Safari Lodge. Later in the day we drive to the Kasenyi plains for game viewing where we spot lions, leopards, antelopes, warthogs and other mammals. Diner and overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge.

After breakfast we return to Rwanda via Kagitumba border with an optional lunch on the way, as we head to Akagera National Park where we will spend the night.

After an early breakfast with packed lunch we go for a game drive within Akagera National Park. The Park covers over 2500 sqkm of savannah west of the Kagera River, which denotes the frontier with Tanzania. The park has a variety of wildlife and is a habitat for over 500 different species of birds. This typical African savannah landscape is habitat to big game. Herds of elephants and buffaloes emerge from the woodland to drink at the lakes.
After the game drive we drive to Kigali, have diner at the rooftop of Ubumwe Grand Hotel while enjoying the view of Kigali at night, then drive to Scheba hotel for an overnight stay.
