Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, we will be warmly welcomed by our guide and transferred to the beautiful Arusha Coffee Lodge, nestled within one of Tanzania's largest coffee plantations.

Day 2 Arusha – Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, we depart Arusha with packed lunches and drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, one of Tanzania's most scenic wildlife reserves.

Nestled beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment, the park is renowned for its diverse habitats, ranging from groundwater forests and open grasslands to acacia woodland and the alkaline lake itself. During our afternoon game drive, we search for elephants, giraffes, buffalo, hippos, zebras, wildebeest and the park's famous tree-climbing lions. The lake also attracts thousands of flamingos and an impressive variety of birdlife throughout the year.

Later, we continue to the beautiful Ngorongoro Farm House, where we enjoy dinner overlooking the rolling highlands.

Descending 600 metres to the crater floor, we spend the morning exploring this remarkable ecosystem, home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. We may encounter lions, elephants, buffalo, spotted hyenas, zebras, wildebeest, hippos and, with a little luck, the critically endangered black rhinoceros.

After our crater safari and picnic lunch, we continue into the vast plains of the Central Serengeti, where endless grasslands stretch to the horizon. As we travel through the park, wildlife sightings continue all around us before arriving at Kubu Kubu Tented Lodge.
