Day 3 Simba Tarn 4600m

The hike gets gradually steeper and finally we ascend a ridge and get to the Simba Tarn (4600m), our camp site for the night at the base of Point Lenana. We enjoy our dinner while marveling the spectacular views of Nelion and Batian, the main peaks of Mt.Kenya and Point Lenana our challenge for tomorrow.

After an early morning breakfast at 5.00am, the track will lead via a steep screed to the Simba Cole and finally through steep rocky path to the point Lenana. At sunrise we have made it.
