The Property

The Tides Lodge is located on the mainland coast, about an hour’s flight north of Dar es Salaam. The lodge is about a 20-minute drive from Pangani airstrip and about an hour and half from Tanga. Each room at The Tides Lodge is right on the beach and features a patio. There are many activities such as snorkeling, diving, fishing, cultural tours and safaris to Saadani National Park.

The rooms

The lodge has nine well-spaced breezy cottages, each looking out onto the Indian Ocean. Seven are thatched and suitable for two guests. All the rooms here have been tastefully decorated with a rustic charm. Each cottage has a private verandah, with a hammock and deck chairs, and a king-size swaying beach bed overlooking the ocean.
